Internal processes optimized thanks to cloud use
The existing systems of the STF Group, an engineering service provider, were bursting at the seams, prone to errors and lacking transparency. Since 2015, SAP Business ByDesign has ensured transparency throughout the Group and accelerated processes.
The STF Group moves business processes to the cloud
The STF Group is a nationwide engineering company. Since 1997, STF has been providing customized and innovative engineering services for DAX and Fortune 500 companies, SMEs and public-sector clients. With over 600 employees at 20 locations across Germany, the STF Group is committed to serving all customers in the fields of telecommunications, digitalization, IT and specialist planning for technical building services. “Innovation and quality drive our work. Between 2008 and 2023, the STF Group grew rapidly from 20 to over 600 employees, meaning that the previous systems could no longer be maintained. The software for financial accounting was overloaded, Excel and Word for project management and controlling were complex, error-prone and insufficiently integrated. The STF Group ultimately opted for a complete ERP system from the cloud: since April 2015, the cloud ERP system SAP Business ByDesign has been providing greater transparency and efficiency.

This project focused in particular on digital transformation.
Introducing new software
The old financial accounting software was overloaded. There was no system-side support for project management and the purchasing processes were not integrated. New software is needed!
Better tools for sales and project management
The STF Group strives to improve its sales and project management capabilities by relying on more efficient and integrated tools.
Reliable data sources for controlling
The introduction of SAP Business ByDesign is intended to provide access to reliable data sources, particularly for controlling.

Decision-making at the STF Group
A cloud ERP system offers a consistent data environment. The fact that the rental software running on SAP servers does not require maintenance and further development to be carried out in-house was also well received.

After discussions with all4cloud, it was clear that SAP Business ByDesign would be the best solution for all requirements.
Smooth implementation
The implementation of SAP Business ByDesign from January 2015 went smoothly and in the shortest possible time of three months.
Two-day workshop at the STF headquarters
All participants were familiarised with SAP Business ByDesign in a workshop. Afterwards, Gerrit Essmann held several web sessions to deepen the knowledge - here users could ask their questions.
Results of the STF Group
Consistency and transparency
Today, the system-based mapping of service provision processes across the 9 locations is standardized and transparent. Activities such as billing benefit from a reliable data basis.
Appropriate functionalities
The functionalities are also appropriate for the complex project management at STF, purchasing and project management are now linked and promising reporting options are offered.
