Implico: SAP Expertise for Digital Process Chains

Implico GmbH, headquartered in Hamburg, is a leading provider of solutions for the digitization of business processes in the downstream segment. With over 40 years of experience in the distribution of liquid goods and the operation of gas stations, the company possesses extensive expertise in the automation of SAP processes and data aggregation.

As an SAP software company, Implico develops, implements, and operates SAP-based solutions for customers in the supply chain sector. For its own ERP system, the company deliberately chose SAP Cloud ERP—and all4cloud as its implementation partner, given its experience with mid-market companies.

The goal was to create a modern, scalable, and standardized ERP foundation following a corporate spin-off that would provide an integrated view of financial, sales, purchasing, and project processes.

Milestones on the Path to the Cloud

A key focus of this project was establishing a future-proof ERP foundation—with reliable data, standardized processes, and greater transparency for management, reporting, and growth.

New ERP System Following the Corporate Split

Following a corporate spin-off, Implico needed a new ERP system.
It quickly became clear: It had to be SAP again—this time as a modern public cloud solution.

Reduced Complexity Through Standards

The goal was to replace a fragmented application landscape. Implico wanted to standardize processes, reduce customization, and simplify data usage.

Greater Transparency for Growth

Financial, sales, and project data should be consolidated into a single integrated system to better manage costs, budgets, and customer processes.

Here's How Implico Successfully Managed the SAP Cloud ERP Migration

1
Selecting a Cloud Solution

Following the corporate spin-off, Implico deliberately chose SAP Cloud ERP (formerly S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition)
as a scalable ERP foundation for the future.

2
Clear Project Scope

The scope was defined early on in collaboration with all4cloud.
The focus was on finance, project management, sales, and purchasing—excluding warehousing and logistics.

3
Focus on Standards

The project team consistently adhered closely to the standard.
Quick decisions and direct access to decision-makers sped up implementation.

4
Go-Live in Record Time

Less than six months passed between the kick-off on July 10, 2025, and the go-live on January 1, 2026—
, on time, and within budget.

Results of the SAP Cloud ERP Implementation

A More Robust Data Set

Implico now uses fewer applications related to numbers and reporting. The data is more stable and better suited for reports and AI strategies.

Greater Transparency

Planned and actual data can be compared on a day-by-day basis. This makes it easier to manage costs, budgets, and project progress.

Faster processes

Since going live, implico has benefited from faster day-to-day business processes, such as in invoice receipt, invoice issuance, and system interfaces.

Future-Proof Platform

SAP Cloud ERP (formerly SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition) lays the foundation for new billing models, data-driven processes, and future AI-related requirements.
